How many functions should one invitation list?
Should every guest get every function? How to list mehndi, barat, nikah and valima without overwhelming people.
A Pakistani wedding is a week, not a day. Listing everything for everyone isn't always right.
Start with who is invited to what
Close family usually comes to every function. Colleagues and neighbours may be invited only to the barat or the valima. Decide this before you design anything.
Two ways to handle it
- One shared link with all functions on it. Simple, and good when almost everyone is invited to everything.
- Separate links per group, each showing only the functions that guest is invited to. Better for mixed guest lists.
For each function, include
- The date and start time.
- The venue name and a map link.
- The dress code, if there is one.
- A contact number for the day.
Keep each function short. A guest should find their date in a few seconds.
